NFS(Network File System)

A Unix-native network file-sharing protocol offering high performance between Linux systems.

NFS is efficient and low-overhead, making it ideal for Linux-to-Linux sharing, virtualization datastores and container volumes. It has less friendly authentication than SMB, so it's usually kept to trusted networks.
